1. UP (2009)

Directed by Pete Docter, the film centers on an elderly widower named Carl Fredricksen and an earnest young "Wilderness Explorer" named Russell. By tying thousands of balloons to his home, 78-year-old Carl sets out to fulfill his dream to see the wilds of South America and complete a promise made to his late wife, Ellie. Up released on May 29, 2009, opened the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first animated and 3D film to do so. Up received universal acclaim, with most reviewers commending the humor and heart of the film. Edward Asner was praised for his portrayal of Carl, and a montage of Carl and his wife Ellie aging together was widely lauded. The film received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, making it the second animated film in history to receive such a nomination, following Beauty and the Beast.
2. TANGLED (2010)

Featuring the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, the film tells the story of a lost, young princess with long magical hair who yearns to leave her secluded tower. Against her mother's wishes, she accepts the aid of a handsome intruder to take her out into the world which she has never seen, with the help of a dashing young man.
3. ALADDIN (1992)

The love story of a rich princess Jasmine and a poor but goods hearted Aladdin relates a version of the story of Aladdin and the magic lamp from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights. It was the most successful film of 1992, with over $217 million (over $400 million adjusted) in domestic revenues and over $504 million worldwide. The main soundtrack song "A Whole New World" (sung in the closing credits by Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle) won a Grammy Award as well as the Academy Award for Best Song in 1992. Voice actors included Robin Williams as the Genie.
4. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (1991/2017)

Disney's Beauty and the Beast has always been the beacon of true love and romance for generations! In 1991 it was the first animated movie to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture. In 2017, the story and characters audiences know and love come to spectacular life in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” releasing on 17th March, a live-action musical adaptation of the studio’s animated classic featuring an extraordinary ensemble cast, including: Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci with Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.
5. POCAHONTAS (1995)

Directed by Mike Gabriel and Eric Goldberg, the film is inspired by the known history and folklore surrounding the Native American woman Pocahontas and portrays a fictionalized account of her historical encounter with Englishman John Smith. Pocahontas was released on June 23, 1995, to audiences who praised the film for its theme of love, animation and music.
6. WALL-E (2008)

An instant blockbuster, Wall E is the romantic story of robot WALL-E who discovers a healthy seedling, which he returns to his home. Later, an unmanned spaceship lands and deploys an EVE probe to scan the planet. WALL-E is infatuated with EVE, who is initially hostile but gradually befriends him. When WALL-E brings EVE to his trailer and shows her the plant, however, she suddenly takes the plant and goes into standby mode. WALL-E, confused, unsuccessfully tries to reactivate her. The ship then returns to collect EVE, and with WALL-E clinging on, returns to its mothership, the starliner Axiom.
7. THE LITTLE MERMAID (1989)

Based on the Danish fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen, The Little Mermaid tells the story of a beautiful mermaid princess who dreams of becoming human.
8. LADY AND THE TRAMP (1955)

Lady and the Tramp is a 1955 American animated romantic musical comedy film. Based on Happy Dan, The Whistling Dog by Ward Greene, Lady and the Tramp tells the story of a female American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with a refined, upper-middle-class family, and a male stray mutt named Tramp. When the two dogs meet, they embark on many romantic adventures.
