December 08 : The Sabarimala festival is a pilgrimage season followed religiously in South India. Every year, a journey to the famous Sabarimala Mandala Makaravilakk pilgrimage in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, chanting the Lord's name is ritualistic. As thousands of devotees prepare for the festival this year, the South Central Railway has notified to run special fare trains to Sabarimala owing to the seasonal rush.
This year's Sabarimala Masa Nada Thurappu falls on 16th of December 2022, while the Sabarimala Mandala Kalam is on 27th of December, 2022. The famous Makarvilakku Festival of the season falls on Saturday, 14th of January, 2023.

From Kollam to Nanded
Train no. 07136 will depart at 15:00 hrs from Kollam on Saturdays 3rd, 10th, and 24th December, 2022, and on 7th January, 2023, to reach Nanded at 08:30 hrs on the third day, ie, Monday. Train no. 07138 Kollam- Nanded Special fare special will leave the station for a single service on 31st December, 2022, and reach Nanded on Monday at 04:45 hrs.
From Kollam to Nizamabad
Train no. 07140 Kollam to Nizamabad will leave Kollam Junction on 17th December, 2022 at 15:00 hrs to reach Nizamabad on Monday at 04:50 hrs.
Train no. 08568 Kollam- Vishakhapatnam will depart from Kollam Junction on Mondays, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th December, 2022, and on 2nd, 9th and 16th January, 2023 at 20:45 hrs to reach Vishkapatnam on the next corresponding day, Tuesday at 23:50 hrs.
From Kollam to Kacheguda
Train no. 07054 Kollam- Kacheguda special fare special, offering 6 services, will depart from Kollam on Wednesdays, 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th December, 2022, and on 4th and 11th January, 2023 at 02:30 hrs to reach the next day, Thursday at 10:00 hrs.
From Kollam to Belgaum
Train no. 07362 Kollam- Belgaum Special train offers seven services, all on Mondays, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th December, 2022 and 2nd, 9th, and 16th January, 2023, at 17:10 hrs to reach Belgaum on the next corresponding day, Tuesday at 23:00 hrs.
Train no. 07142 will run a special service on 14th January, 2023, Saturday, at 15:00 hrs from Kollam and reach Secunderbad at 00:45 hrs on Monday. Train no. 07118 will run four services on Tuesdays, 22nd November, 2022, 6th and 20th December, 2022 and 10th January 2023, at 02:30 hrs from Kollam and reach Secunderbad at 09:05 hrs on the next day, Wednesday.
